Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah, leader of the Glorious Word Power Ministry International, who is currently standing trial, has been slapped with two new charges and dragged to an additional court; therefore he would now be standing trial before two different courts.
Rev. Owusu Bempah, is facing the Accra Circuit Court One where he has been charged with offensive conduct to the breach of peace and he is also to face the Accra Circuit Court Two where he has been charged abetment for causing harm and causing unlawful damage for allegedly inciting his church members to attack three police officers who went to the church to arrest of some persons who had allegedly threatened to kill the controversial fetish priest turned evangelist, Patricia Oduro Koranteng aka Nana Agradaa.
Rev. Owusu Bempah was standing trial at Accra Circuit Court one but on Tuesday October 5, Prosecution decided to submit an amended charge sheet and separate the two cases for one to be held at the Accra Circuit Court Two.
Prosecution explained that the cases need to be separated to ensure an efficient and swift trial.
He has therefore been granted two bails under two conditions.
At the Circuit Court One, he was granted self-recognisance bail in the sum of GH¢100,000, while at the Circuit Court Two case he was granted bail in the sum of GH¢100,000 with one surety.
In the first case, being heard before Afia Owusua Appiah, the judge adjourned sitting to 10 November 2021.
