Rex Omar Set to Release ‘Onipa’ On Aug. 30
Hi-life Maestro and head of Ghana Music Rights Association(GHAMRO) is set to release the much talk about Hi-life song ‘Onipa’ on the 30th of August.
The much anticipated Rex Omar’s 5th-single titled “Onipa” is set to be released on 30th of August as part of his (Hi-life Agenda project) which started in April 2018 this year.
He described ‘Onipa’ as a dance-able song which will meet the demand of Ghanaian music lovers.
The Abiba hit maker has promised to release a single every month continuously for the next 3 years to help revive and redefine the Hi-life music genre.
The Hi-life Godfather has had a busy schedule going on a nationwide media tour giving exclusive interviews and educating his fans and the general public what Hi-life music is all about.
Rex Omar, as a musician, represents originality. He always stands by the fact that being original will guarantee musicians long stay in the industry.
The quality of his music is exceptional, as witnessed in the number of songs he has to his credit. Rex Omar’s trademark is dance-able hi-life grooves cast in the big band mold with exquisite arrangements.
His first single, ‘Nhyira’, a mid-tempo gospel flavored tune, is enjoying nationwide airplay following a series of successful radio tours in some selected cities in the country.
Rex Omar is an award winning singer, songwriter and arranger and a one-time member of the trio, Nakorex.
He is currently chairman of the Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO) and a member of the Joint Committee of Collective Management Organisations (JCCMOs).
His career spans over three decades and he continues to record, perform and mentor other musicians.
The legend has already dropped 4-tracks of authentic hi-life and Afrocentric tracks including, the inspirational “Nhyira, which features Trigmatic” “Paapa Reloaded ” a club banger “Hi-life Agogo” and the deep spiritual “Why Where Who” All of the aforementioned tracks will be on the hi-life Godfather’s upcoming album .
(REXTORATION) Rex Omar is also collaborating with most of the high profile Ghanaian artistes including Samini, Okyeame Kwame, Manifest, Sarkodie among others which will be released as part of his HI-LIFE AGENDA project.
