OFFICIAL PRESS STATEMENT
RE: FALSE CLAIMS OF PURPORTED INTERVIEW WITH BERNARD AVLE
For Immediate Release
5th February 2025
- It has come to my attention that fabricated claims are circulating across various online platforms regarding an alleged interview I supposedly conducted with my esteemed colleague, Bernard Avle, concerning his personal finances and income sources. I am compelled to address these falsehoods with absolute clarity.
- Let me state unequivocally that I have never conducted any interview with Bernard Avle on television, radio, digital platforms, or any other medium-discussing his earnings, investments, or financial portfolio.
The circulating transcript and associated reports are complete fabrications designed to mislead the public and generate unwarranted controversy.
- Additionally, any assertions suggesting that Mr. Avle has faced professional or personal consequences due to this fictional interview are entirely false. These claims appear to be part of a coordinated effort to spread misinformation and damage professional reputations.
- As a journalist committed to upholding the highest standards of our profession, I implore media organizations, digital platforms, and the general public to exercise due diligence in verifying information before sharing or publishing such content. The proliferation of deliberate misinformation undermines the fabric of honest public discourse that our society depends upon.
- I maintain my steadfast commitment to ethical journalism and fact-based reporting. I reserve all rights to take appropriate legal action against any persons or entities responsible for the deliberate dissemination of these fabrications.
