THERE IS what looks like a ritual murder spree in Kumasi following the discovery of two dead bodies near a river at Abrepo on Thursday morning.
The ‘victims’ included a dark-complexion lady, who was found kneeling, and a light-skinned lady, who was lying in a supine position.
Residents of Abrepo, in the Bantama Constituency, who are now living in fear, said the bodies were found near the Asuo Akos, a stream at Abrepo, not far from the Samed Hotel.
The clothes on the victims were torn, heightening suspicion that they were possibly raped by their killers.
Residents of Abrepo were positive that the victims did not live anywhere near the vicinity, and opined that they could have been killed somewhere else, and their bodies dumped near the stream.
Unconfirmed reports, which also strongly suggest a ritual mirder, say the killers did not take away the mobile phones or items on the victims.
News about the suspected murder spread across the entire Kumasi Metropolis like wild fire, attracting a huge crowd of curious people to the scene.
Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister, Elizabeth Agyeman, aka ‘People’s Mother’, who was also at the scene, charged the police to find the killers as soon as practicable.
She said certainly some fiendish people must have taken the lives of the two ladies, stressing that their killers should be arrested.
In a related development, the chiefs and elders of Abrepo have poured libation to appeal to ‘Asuo Akos’ to help identify and arrest the killers.
