Robber killed with sword

DRAMA unfolded at Apatrapa-Pokukrom, in the Kwadaso Municipality, of the Ashanti Region as a suspected robber has been stabbed to death with his own sword by a mob.

The male robber suspect, whose identity is unknown, had lurked into the boisterous community on Monday dawn when the people were asleep ostensibly to rob innocent people.

Unfortunately for the suspect, who was armed with sharp knives, someone saw him breakin into a house and raised an alarm, leading to his immediate arrest.

The robber’s captors then subjected him to severe beatings and in the process someone used the suspect’s own sharp knife to stab him several times to end his life.

Some of the residents of Apatrapa that demanded anonymity for security reasons, informed the paper that robbers have been terrorizing the community lately.

According to them, in the latest incident, the now dead male robber, who was wielding machetes, knives and other weapons, had sneaked into the area to rob people.

Unknown to the miscreant, some people had spotted him so they blew the alarm, resulting in a hot chase which led to the robber being arrested, beaten and stabbed to death.

When the paper visited the scene on Monday morning, the robber was lying dead with two sharp machetes on his chest. The body is now in a morgue as police investigates the case.
