Robber Trapped In Metal Store

A PLANNED robbery expedition at Konongo in the Ashanti region by an armed robber turned bad, as the robber was rather locked up in the metal container, whose owner he intended to rob.

The hoodlum reportedly entered the container, which was being used for mobile money services, and ordered the owner to surrender all the money on him, else he would kill him.

Reports said the fear-stricken mobile money dealer did not resist but quickly surrendered the money and mobile phone on him.

In a split second, as he (robber) bent down to grab his booty from the floor, the mobile money dealer sped off with a lightning speed, and, once outside, locked his attacker inside.

The near-robbery victim then raised an alarm. With help from other people, the robber was arrested, beaten and handed over to the Konongo Police.

Speaking on Nhyira FM, the victim said he did not resist when the robber demanded he should surrender everything on him, adding that, he only took advantage of the situation to escape.
