Rotary Club Donates Computers

THE ROTARY Club of Kumasi has donated brand new desktop computers to the Osei Tutu II Educational Institute at Tetrem during a short ceremony.

The gesture, which was intended at boosting the teaching of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the school, was part of series of activities marking this year’s Rotary Day, themed; ‘Be an Inspiration’.

Addressing the media after the presentation ceremony, the President of the Kumasi Rotary Club, Rtn. Ing. Nana Poku Agyeman, described education as the best tool to narrow the gap between the rich and the poor in society.

He said in line with this, the Club had decided to continually support schools in the country.

Rtn Ing Agyeman said the Osei Tutu Educational Institute appealed to his group for support “and we decided to help them”.

According to him, if all financially endowed individuals contribute toward supporting the needy in society, the world would be a better place for everybody.
