Mrs Samira Bawumia has launched the Nurturing Care Framework for Early Childhood Development in Ghana programme.
The wife of Vice-President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia launched the programme during the maiden National Maternal, Child Health and Nutrition (MCHN) Conference, which started on Tuesday in Accra.
The three-day programme was meant to map out strategies to decrease disparities in health service delivery, and increase Universal Health Coverage (UHC) by ensuring accountability.
Mrs Bawumia, in a tweet, said: “As part of the MCHN Conference 2018, I launched the Nurturing Care Framework for Early Childhood Development in Ghana yesterday.
“It is essential that we invest in providing nurturing care for children very early on to ensure that they achieve their full potential.”
