Sammy Kufuor Linked to Kotoko Top Job
Fresh rumours from the mill suggest that former Ghana defender, Samuel Osei Kufuor, will soon join the Dr. Kwame Kyei-led Kotoko management team.
The speculation, which is gradually gaining currency in many sporting circles, has also linked another Kotoko guru, Alhaji Lamin to the management.
Messrs Kufuor and Lamin, according to the reports, would soon get official invitations to join Dr. Kyei to manage the Kumasi-based club.
According to speculations emanating from the corridors of the ‘Porcupine Warriors’, both personalities have been invited secretly and they seemed interested in the offer.
Some of the team’s officials that spoke to the paper on condition of anonymity hinted that an official announcement would be made to that effect latest by next week.
Meanwhile, in an interview on Mhyira FM, Dr. Lamin tacitly confirmed that he was on his way to joining the Kotoko management.
“I have always been with Dr. Kyei ever since he was appointed to lead Kotoko. I have always supported him to take our dear club to the next level.
“So far, I have not been officially informed to be part of the Kotoko management, but I will not turn down the offer if Dr. Kyei makes that approach”.
