Two of Ghana’s fiercest rappers – Sarkodie and M.anifest – surprised many when they performed together on stage Sunday night.
It was one of the rarest, if not the first time, the two acts will be seen together on stage performing together.
The reunion of the two rappers took place at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra when M.anifest held his concert Manifestivities.
The patrons were surprised to see Sarkodie on stage considering his beef with M.anifest and the fact that he was not billed to perform.
In 2016, M.anifest and Sarkodie were engaged in one of the biggest music beefs the country has witnessed over the period.
This beef really got down to fans of both artistes, as they threw shades and fought on social media.
It all happened when Sarkodie released his ‘Bossy’ track and M.anifest replied him in ‘godMC’ for using his name “in vain.” Sarkodie, unhappy with M.anifest’s attack, did another song called ‘Kanta’ to counter him.
The highly anticipated “Manifestivities” concert dubbed “The GMT Live Experience” came of yesterday, December 23, at the Bukom Boxing Arena.
It was night filled with fun…surprises and thrills. The show featured Nigerian maestro Burna Boy and vocalist Simi.
As M.anifest was about to perform his controversial ‘godMC’ track, he paused and said, “Charly, we have to progress and move forward as a people…can’t we do that?….let’s move forward…”
Sarkodie was ushered onto the stage with his popular ‘Original’ song. The venue erupted into loud cheers as he joined M.anifest, shook hands and also do the iconic dance to the song.
During a brief hilarious interaction on stage, Sarkodie said M.anifest was about to diss him again because he was about to perform ‘godMC’.
When M.anifest asked his mission, Sarkodie said when he heard M.anifest was about to perform the ‘godMC’, he quickly rushed from home to the venue.
He thrilled patrons to some of his hit songs including, ‘Can’t Let You Go’ which saw actress Joselyn Dumas walk onto the stage to show off her dancing skills.
Sarkodie performing on stage with M.anifest was very significant considering the history between them.
Also on the bill yesterday from Ghana are Kwesi Arthur, Efya and B4Bonah amongst others who thrilled patrons with unlimited musical performances.
