Sarkodie’s Paris Show Canceled Last-Minute

International Engagements Agency for Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie, EaglePlug, has announced the cancellation of the rapper’s highly anticipated appearance at the Station Afrique (Africa Fan Zone) event in Paris, originally scheduled for Friday, August 9.

The cancellation was disclosed in a statement released on the same day, citing that the event organizers had failed to meet the contractual obligations agreed upon two months earlier.

The statement explained that despite EaglePlug’s efforts to ensure Sarkodie’s performance, the event management organization did not fulfill the necessary requirements for the event to proceed.

An apology was issued to Sarkodie’s fans by EaglePlug, acknowledging the unfortunate circumstances that led to the last-minute decision. The agency assured fans that efforts would be made to reschedule the performance when conditions improve and the contractual terms are fully met.

EaglePlug Announces Cancellation of Sarkodie’s Performance at Station Afrique, Paris – 9th August, 2024

EaglePlug regrets to announce the cancellation of Sarkodie’s scheduled performance at the Station Afrique (Africa Fan Zone) event in Paris today, 9th August, 2024.

Although our best efforts were made to honour the commitment, the agency responsible for the event has failed to fulfill its obligations. The contract was signed two (2) months ago but the agency has failed to fulfill the conditions precedent to enable Sarkodie perform. Despite the failure of the agency to respect the terms of the contract, Eagleplug did all within its power to get our artiste and his team to come to Paris in anticipation of the agency keeping its part of the bargain.

Throughout this period, we have exercised patience and understanding, fully aware of the complexities involved in organising an event of this scale. However, even after the agency’s repeated assurances that all issues would be resolved upon our arrival in Paris, nothing changed.

As much as Sarkodie was eager to perform for the wonderful fans who came out to support him, we have been left with no choice but to cancel his performance at the last minute due to the failure of the agency to respect the agreement executed between the parties.

We sincerely apologize to the fans for this disappointment and hope to see you soon under better circumstances.
