Security Alert! Burma Camp Turns Mahama Campaign Hqrs
Tongues are wagging in certain political circles about reports that Major General Sampson Kudjo Adeti, a former Chief of Staff of the Ghana Armed Forces could be using Burma Camp as campaign security headquarters.
Deep throat sources insist that the senior military officer who is currently the head of Intelligence and Security Committee for the John Mahama 2020 campaign is on leave pending retirement.
According to the source, the development is of security concern because the Camp is the headquarters of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) which hosts the Army, Navy and Air Force.
The Camp which is also seat of the 5th Battalion of Infantry (5BN) houses the Recce Regiment, Signal Regiment, 64th Battalion of Infantry and the 49th Engineers Regiment among others.
Although details of the nature of the political activity at the Camp is unclear, insiders are jittery about the development claiming it could have dare security implications.
Sources are not worried over former president Mahama’s choice of a Major General but are concerned that he allegedly operating from a sensitive military hub as the Burma Camp.
