Security is Our Major Priority as Gov’t – Bawumia

The Vice President Dr.Mahamudu Bawumia has said that, the Nana Addo led government has it on their heart to provide decent Accommodation for the Ghana Police Service and the other security agencies to make their work very efficient.

According to him, security services in the country is the government’s priority, therefore the government will soon construct ten thousand housing unit for the security personnel’s.

Speaking at the sod-cutting Ceremony for the Phase 111 of the 320 security Housing units, At the Tesano police training school, he urged Ghanaian to be thankful to the police for the good work they are doing.

About  the Housing units for the Ghana Police Service.

Yesterday August 13, he cut sod for work to begin on the construction of 320 Housing units for the Ghana Police Service.

The Police Housing project, which will be made up of 112 two bedroom apartments, and 208 three bedroom apartments, will be constructed as part of Government’s plan to provide decent accommodation for the security services and other government agencies.

An additional 10,000 housing units for the security agencies are also expected to be constructed under the Infrastructure for Bauxite barter arrangement between the Government of Ghana and Sinohydro Corporation/the Chinese Government negotiated by the Vice President as part of his official visit to China last year.

The 10,000 housing units for the security services under the Sinohydro project will be the largest single undertaking of its kind since independence .

This the Vice President of the Republic stressed on the fact that, it will help provide good accommodation to security agencies all across to enhance on better security for the good people of Ghana.
