Two former officials of the Sefwi Akontombra District Assembly are said to have looted the coffers of the assembly of an amount of GHS88, 000 which was revenue accrued from the sale of stool lands.
The two are said to have opened a private account with a local bank and deposited the amounts there instead of the assembly’s kitty.
Appearing before the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) which is holding public sittings on the 2015 Auditor General’s report in the Western Regional capital, Takoradi, Finance Officer of the Assembly, Sylvester Adikuloo, said the case has been reported to the police with management awaiting the outcome of the investigations.
