Shatta Wale ‘bigs up’ Chief Imam; asks for God’s blessings for him

Dancehall artist Shatta Wale has sent out words of encouragement to the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu on Instagram.

In the post, the boss of the Shatta Movement Empire shared a photo of the National Chief Imam with the caption: “Ghana’s Chief Imam at Christ the King Church, Accra to celebrate his 100th birthday. A true son of Abraham!! God Bless him for his shining example. Allahu Arkbar ??????”

The acknowledgement of Shatta Wale comes after Chief Imam joined congregants of the Christ the King Church in Accra in worship.

The visit was ahead of the celebration of his 100th birthday on Tuesday [April 23, 2019). The Chief Imam was received on arrival by the Parish Priest, Rev. Father Andrew Campbell.

Many social media users who spotted the Chief Imam at the Church said the move is a great effort towards religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence in the country.

The Chief Imam’s surprise visit was a reciprocal one to earlier engagements with former Archbishop of Accra, Gabriel Palmer Buckle, and other Christian leaders.
