SHS Girl Supports Kath

THE PEDIATRIC Emergency Unit (PEU) of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), in Kumasi, has received a timely support through a donation by the Make a Child Smile (MACS) Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO).

Interestingly, MACS is owned by a Kumasi-based fresh Senior High School (SHS) graduate, Afia Kwakyewaa Yamoah.

The Foundation, which was formed in January, 2019, is also made up of many of Afia’s colleague SHS graduates across the country.

Items donated included toiletries, assorted biscuits, soft drinks and toys, after which the team visited the PEU, Ward B4, Ward B5 and Ward C5, which are all under the Child Health Directorate.

“The major focus area of MACS is to always offer a helping hand and support to the needy in society”, Kwakyewaa Yamoah said.
