A FIRST year student of Konongo Odumase Senior High School (SHS) has been stabbed dead on campus, whilst trying to save a colleague from being bullied.
The body of the deceased, identified as Samuna Larhan, who is just seventeen years old, has since been deposited at Stewards Hospital morgue at Yakwei, said the police.
Five second-year students of the school, led by one Emmanuel Osei Frimpong aka Tupac, 17, were bullying the First-Year students in the dormitory on Friday after prep.
In the course of the bullying expedition, Tupac attempted to slap a first-year student and Samuna Larhan, now deceased, prevented him from slapping the student.
Samuna’s action was said to have infuriated Tupac, who quickly pulled a sharp knife, which was concealed in his cloth, and stabbed Samuna to end his life suddenly.
According to police sources, Samuna bled profusely and he was rushed to the Konongo Odumase Government Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The shocking matter was reported to the Konongo Police, who rushed to the school and apprehended five suspects, including Emmanuel Osei Frimpong, the key suspect.
The remaining four suspects, who are all second year students, includes Amoah Kwasi Karikari aka Demon, Kwame Afrane Snr, Kwame Afrane Jnr and Obed Agyei.
The body has since been deposited at the Stewards hospital morgue at Takwei for preservation and autopsy, as the police are keeping the sharp knife as exhibit.
