Sofoline Pavement Grass Now Trimmed

Few weeks after THE NEW PUBLISHER’s report of an unkempt pavement along the Sofoline to Abuakwa road, in Kumasi, the authorities concerned seem to have done what is expected of them.

The green grass on the entire pavement of the busy road has been very well trimmed, giving the area the beautiful look it deserved.

A few weeks ago, the entire pavement on the Sofoline and Abuakwa stretch was overgrown with weeds, giving the area an unpleasant look.

Aside giving the place a bad look, some of the overgrown weeds obstructed the visibility of road users.

Some people in the community that the paper interviewed lambasted the city authorities, especially the Kwadaso Municipal Assembly, for not doing enough to keep the pavement clean.

But it was totally a different scenario when THE NEW PUBLISHER visited the Sofoline recently. The authorities concerned, were perhaps, pushed by the paper’s publication to sit up as the publication by the paper was extensively discussed on radio and television.
