Sogakofe Police Grab Four Notorious Criminals
Four suspected thieves were arrested las Friday at Dikanya in the Greater Accra Region, after one month of police surveillance.
The four, Christian Avadzie 27, Maxwell Avledor, Shiantey Agbasi a.k.a ‘Chorus’, and William Teye were alleged to have broken into rooms and stolen various items, including one compressor machine, fridge, sacks of rice, cartons of meat, 3 drilling machines, iron sheet, pick axe, 3 flat screen television sets, laptops, one rice cooker and a wheel barrow in various communities in the South Tongu and Ada-East Districts.
Detective Sergeant Moses Kutor of the Sogakofe’ police command narrated that about a month ago, an Israeli national, Yahnniev, who is a farmer, reported of his missing compressor machine on his farm at Agave in the South Tongu District of the Volta Region.
He said, following the report, the police launched an investigation which subsequently led to the arrest of the four suspects at Dikanya in the Ada-East District in the Greater Accra Region.
According to him, the police, during a search, found the compressor machine and other items in their rooms. The suspects were latter sent to the Sogakofe’ police command.
Detective Sergeant Kutor indicated that the four will be arranged before court at Sogakofe’ next week.
Meanwhile the Big-Ada police has also started digging into the background of all the four suspects.
