Soldier Man ‘Allegedly’ Kills Sex Worker

A suspected military officer is alleged to have killed a 28-year-old Nigerian woman, believed to be a commercial sex worker at a hotel in Takoradi.

The suspect, believed to be a client of Vera Edafeh Oboko stabbed her several times and dumped her body in a washroom at the Ridge Way Hotel.

DSP Olivia Adiku, Public Relations Officer for the western regional police command told the Press that an attendant of the hotel first reported the incident to the Takoradi police after workers saw blood spilling from the room of the clients.

“We moved to the hotel and saw the blood but couldn’t enter the room because the door was locked. But after several failed attempts to open the door; we forcibly broke into the room. We saw her [Obolo] naked with the stabs in her stomach, throat and her left thigh in a pool of blood,” she said.

According to her, the body of the deceased has since been deposited at the Afia Nkwanta government hospital pending investigations while the suspect, believed to be a military officer is at large.

Shocked Assemblyman the area, Prince Charles Kofi Aidoo who confirmed the incident as well condemned the conduct of the military man and described his action as notorious.

He wants the security agencies to investigate the matter to the highest order in bringing sanity to the neighborhood.
