Special police team to control Kasoa-Buduburam-Winneba traffic

The Ghana Police Service has deployed a special team to control the oft-complained-of gridlock on the Kasoa-Buduburam-Winneba Road in the Central Region.

A statement issued by the police administration on Sunday, 29 August 2021, said: “The police administration has taken notice of the many complaints about the heavy traffic and indiscipline on the Kasoa-Buduburam-Winneba stretch, especially on weekends.”

“We apologise for the inconvenience suffered by users of that route, especially yesterday [Saturday, 28 August 2021], and we hereby announce that a special team has been constituted and deployed to monitor and regulate the free flow of traffic in the area.”

The police also cautioned drivers on that stretch to obey all traffic regulations or face the full rigours of the law.

“The administration strongly cautions drivers who ply that stretch to follow the Road Traffic Regulations, as defaulters will be arrested and prosecuted.”
