Speeding Truck Kills Boy, 7

A SEVEN year-old boy has left the world on a sad note after a speeding truck knocked and killed him instantly on Saturday evening.

The deceased, identified as Paa Kwasi, had tried to pick his football from the road when the speeding truck ran over him at Santase in Kumasi.

The truck, which was said to be fully loaded with cement, also knocked down a motorbike and caused severe body injuries to the male rider.

Some curious people in Santase, upon hearing the heartbreaking news, reportedly rushed to the accident scene around 6PM.

To their horror, they found the dead boy and a severely injured male motor rider, lying in the busy road that links Kumasi and Obuasi.

According to reports, there was blood all over the road. The accident also caused massive vehicular traffic on the busy Santase road.

The motor rider was rushed to the Atasemanso hospital, where he was admitted for treatment. The little boy’s body is currently at the morgue.

The driver of the truck was apprehended by the people of Santase, who handed him over to the police to assist in their investigations.
