Sports Minister charges Deen …over Accra 2023 African Games
SPORTS MINISTER, Hon. Mustapha Ussif, has charged renowned sports administrator, Mr. Samson Deen, to use his unique managerial skills to help make the Accra 2023 African Games successful.
He gave the admonishment when he personally sworn Samson Deen into office to be part of the Accra 2023 African Games Local Organizing Committee (LOC).
As a reminder, Ghana’s national capital, Accra, has been chosen as the venue for the hosting of the next African Games, which is barely one year away from now.
Hon, Ussif explained that the state is aware of Samson Deen’s deep knowledge in sports administration, management and event organization, hence his selection.
The Sports Minister said the Government knows the value of Samson Deen, especially the crucial roles that he could play to help make the impending tournament successful.
“I congratulate you on your appointment as a member of the Accra 2023 African Games and I also urge you to support other members to make the event successful”.
Samson Deen, who doubles as the African Paralympic Committee President and the President of the Ghana Paralympic Committee, also promised to deliver.
The Chairman of the LOC Accra 2023 African Games, Dr. Kwaku Ofosu Asare and Reks Brobby, the Deputy Chief Operating Officer, witnessed the swearing in ceremony ceremony.
