Stacy Maweunam Amewoyi who has earned a remarkable reputation in the minds of readers because of the nature of the stories and hidden topics that she tackles in her books, has successfully launched her eleventh book titled ‘Africa And The African’.
The book she said comes in four different units – “A Giant in Slumber,” “The Falling Powers,” “Existing Simultaneously As Allies,” ‘‘The Rising Stars’’ available across all online book stores and other stores around the world.
Stacy in first chapter of the book sub-headlined it, “A Giant In Slumber,” which she revealed reminds African of the need to look at the history of leaders that devoted a lot to get the continent to its current state – where freedom, ban on slavery, equality and other human rights campaigns have been won.
Speaking at the launch which happened last Saturday at The Enterprise Village in Dorwulu, Stacy indicated that the book explores the amazing continent of Africa, the beauties and the challenges that lie ahead and how those challenges can be solved using the beautiful things Africa has.
“I currently have 11 books. My first book is Kings Choice – I was telling the story of my upbringing. It was my true life story; I’ve been through the hard reality of life. I was an orphan. I was telling the story to motivate others who might be going through same situation. I wanted to let such people understand they can make it, for there will be a difference like there was in my life. For the current book – Africa And The African, I’m not sounding political but it’s the reality about what is happening in the Africa continent.
“The book comes from deeper research and from listening to what is happening around us, the continent of Africa has a lot to offer from human to natural resources. This, almost everyone including a kid born today can attest to. But, the problem is getting every African to rely on behind a good leader and agree to follow the same path with that leader”.
Stacy explained she picked the good works of past leaders that devoted their entire lives to changing the image of the continent for good, but, couldn’t arrive at anything good.
“There’s are a lot of resources on the continent that can be tapped and put to good use, from gold, cocoa, diamond to timber, each year, the continent discover something new that can help Africans, however, those beautiful things are sold to the outsiders, and they have rather taking over the continent. This novel took all the steam and energy out of me because it’s coming from a place of years of research, taking historians and many other well-vexed professors and people to find a permanent solution and the present that solution in the novel.”
The ten books she has which are available at all online book stores include The Language And Keys Of Love, Africa And The African Rising Stars, The Kings Choice, The Missing Fathers 1, Miscellaneous Existing Simultaneously, Africa And The African – The Falling Powers, The Missing Fathers 2, The Pillar Of Love, The Missing Fathers 3, The Science Of Love.
