Stars Plot Uganda Fall
The senior national team, the Black Stars, will camp in Kenya ahead of their crunch World Cup qualifier with Uganda, next weekend.
The local component of the team will emplane from Accra on Sunday to the east African country, deputy Ghana trainer, Ibrahim Tanko, said.
According to him, the foreign-based members of the Black Stars will fly from their locations direct to Kenya on Monday to join their colleagues. Coach Tanko, who is a former national star, noted that the entire component of the team would resume training for the Uganda game on Monday.
The Black Stars, he disclosed, would camp and train in Kenya for four days before leaving to Uganda to defend the flag of Ghana in the crunch battle.
Coach Tanko, known as ‘Bullet’ during his playing days, said the Black Stars after the Uganda game, would leave to Saudi Arabia for a friendly contest.
He stated that the Black Stars would defeat Uganda. He also hoped that Egypt, the group leaders, would drop valuable points in their game against Congo.
Coach Tanko noted that even though Ghana still trails Egypt on the table, he is confident the tables would turn for Ghana to qualify for Russia 2018.
