Stars Rotation Ends in May 2018 – Akwasi Appiah
Ghanaian soccer fans should expect to see new faces in the senior national team, the Black Stars, between now and May, 2018.
This is because Ghana Trainer, Akwasi Appiah, has revealed that his rotational system would be sustained until May, next year.
According to him, he wants to give every Ghanaian professional footballer a chance to battle for a place in the senior national team.
In this regard, Akwasi Appiah, said he is not prepared to shut the doors of the Black Stars to players who have not been invited yet.
“I will sustain this policy of inviting and assessing the quality of Ghanaian footballers across the globe until May, next year”.
By that time, he would have invited and assessed all the players so he would be in the right position to name his final team.
Defending his rotational policy, the Ghana coach noted that the procedure has helped him to unearth quality talents for the country, adding that it also introduced fierce competition for positions into the national team.
