Stonebwoy Outdoors New Album ‘Anloga Junction’

Stonebwoy’s latest album ‘Anloga Junction’ he says is an embodiment of all the influences and experiences that he has gone through over the years as a musician.

The award-winning artiste revealed that ‘Anloga Junction’ is not the name of a specific place but rather an artistic representation of what he has been through.

He released his 15-track album on Friday to impressive reviews from Ghanaians and the world.

It was aided by the release of a new video, Nominate (the movie) featuring Keri Hilson, off the album and it was the end of a 10yr hiatus by the American star as she hasn’t been heard singing or performing for quite a while now.

Containing fifteen songs, the collection, which follows Epistles of Mama (2017) features an elite, international guest list from Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, the US, Tanzania, Jamaica, and the Netherlands.

It includes Nasty C, Kojo Antwi, Keri Hilson, Diamond Platnumz, Zlatan, Chivv, Alicai and Jahmiel.

Sharing the inspiration behind the album and its name, the artiste told Giovani Caleb on Showbiz 360 on TV3 that ‘Anloga Junction’ is an ‘epic’ body of work.

“This album has gone through a lot to get to this point…We’ve gone through a lot to get to ‘Anloga Junction’. We’ve released an epic body of work.”

He explained that the name of the album is “just a representation of the influences that I have gone through or that I have been through and learnt from the African soil and the rest of the world as well”.

“So the ‘Junction’ as an English word just signifies and stands for the exposure and the experience and the travail and stuffs that we’ve been able to do and learn from the Western world and the ‘Anloga’ stands for the rest of Africa,” he added.

The BHIM Nation boss further noted that contrary to perceptions, ‘Anloga Junction’ is “not really directed at my hometown…I just chose words that will sit well and be able to explain…it’s an art form so you have to be creative with it as well”.

The album is led with the singles “Good Morning,” “African Party,” and the Alicai Harley-assisted “Understand.”

A decorated Afro-Dancehall champion, Stonebwoy boast of multiple Ghana Music Award laurels, a BET Best International Act honour, AFRIMA and IRAWMA plaques among others.

He has worked with an endless roster local and international icons, and runs Burniton Music Group, on which the LP arrives.
