Ghanaian dancehall artiste Livingstone Etse Satekla known in music circles as Stonebwoy has announced the release date for his new album.
During a press conference at the Golden Tulip Hotel, the ‘Tomorrow’ singer said the album will be released on his birthday which is March 5, 2020.
He said it will satisfy music lovers with varied tastes for music; every continent or region in the world will be served with a genre they can relate to.
According to him, the album will be in three major genres: reggae/ragga (Jamaican Caribbean), dancehall (Caribbean, Jamaica, urban African society) and Afro-beats (UK, America and Africa).
The 15 track music project will be done in Ewe, Twi, Ga with a tinge of the Jamaican Patois.
He also hinted of a collaboration with Shatta Wale. “Our mission will not be complete if we don’t do a collaboration. At the right time Ghanaians will know what the two of us are doing. The collaboration has to be beautifully done so that Ghanaians can enjoy it,” he said.
Speaking about signing on other artistes Stonebwoy said he would have to be careful who he took on.
“I have to be careful who I sign, the disrespect is too much. I want to congratulate Lynx Entertainment for their efforts in signing artistes and doing so well,” he stated.
Stonebwoy said his plans for this year include a North American tour, the opening of his Bhim Shop and an album release.
