Former Division League Board Chairman, Lawyer Ntow Fianko has advised government not to tag all GFA officials as thieves if they don’t have evidence.
“The government has not been fair to some of us by calling all FA officials as thieves. That tag worries me a lot because some of us have gone to congress since 1981 with taxi” he said.
However, Lawyer Ntow Fianko has cautioned the government to go ahead and prosecute the GFA officials who are allegedly involved in money laundering.
“Culprits must be made to stand before law at court but if that is not done he should let us have our peace, Government should not let people go Scot free of offenses allow committed by some FA officials” he made mention.
Subsequently, the Presidency revealed at a press conference that the clip shows GFA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi, using the offices of the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his Vice, Mahamudu Bawumia, to extort money from people.
The President urged the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service to invite Mr Nyantakyi for questioning.
Mr Nyantakyi subsequently handed himself to police to assist with investigations after a charge of defrauding by false pretence was levelled against him.
Aftermath of Investigative Piece by Anas Aremeyaw Anas saw the country football duties on a standstill, leaving all related football activities cancelled.
The Attorney General days ago withdrew its court case to risk world ban from FIFA but Ntow Fianko in an interview dares government to prosecute culprits rather than tagging all FA officials as thieves.
