Stop the Foolishness
...Lawrence Tetteh Tells Artistes
Dr. Lawrence Tetteh Founder and Leader of the Worldwide Miracle Outreach has advised artistes in the country to turn to God.
He stated that it was foolishness for celebrities to live occult lives.
Dr. Tetteh was emphatic that celebrities in the country had turned to occultism.
“There is no power in voodooism, there’s no power in occultism, there’s no power in that thing most of you are going to” he argued insisting that “the people who claim they have covering, what covering do they have themselves?”
Sermon
The international Evangelist in a sermon on the theme: “Time is So Short” at the memorial service of the Dancehall artiste Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng aka Ebony Reigns said the trend was “foolishness”.
He said “live your lives well so that when you die, we will not come to your funeral and lie.”
Dr. Tetteh added: “You must know God, fear God and worship him…and stop feeling invisible”.
The man of God who said he led Ebony to Christ three days before her death stated that artistes were scared of dying because some prophets had prophesied their deaths.
“You are scared of dying because a prophet has said so, would he not die himself; who will not die?” the international preacher queried.
He tasked Ghanaians to stop being judgmental in order to score cheap points.
“We are developing an attitude in Ghana which will not develop us as a nation. We are becoming so judgmental, we are capitalizing on people’s pain to either score spiritual points, political points or superiority points, it’s not right”.
Tributes
Earlier, in a tribute read on their behalf, Ebony’s parents said they are yet to come out of the shock of their daughter’s death.
Ebony’s parents noted that the Dancehall artiste at a very tender age expressed her interest and talent in music and as such gave her the necessary support.
They stated that it is difficult to understand the death of their daughter adding that a great voice has been silenced and a career shortened.
The parents said it was their wish for Ebony to bury them when they die but God knows best.
The siblings said the late Ebony had plans for them stressing that she would be missed.
Ricky Nana Agyeman, aka Bullet, Manager of the Dancehall artiste said his artiste had the voice and personality every record label would wish to have.
He stated that Ebony was gifted, talented, visionary, committed and ambitious both on stage and in her private life.
Bullet took the occasion to clear what he described as misconceptions about Ebony.
He said that Ebony was a Christian who gave herself to prayers coupled with her philanthropy.
