‘Strika’ of Beasts of No Nation cries hard; reports handlers to police
It has emerged that the kid who played Strika in the ‘Beast of No Nation’ movie that shot Abraham Attah to international stardom has been duped by his handlers of over $30, 000.
Born Emmanuel Nii Adom Quaye, he has accused two of his handlers namely; Kofi Robert and Kobina Sam ( Man who played Abraham Attah’s father) of denying him access to money (USD 30,000) he got from Netflix.
The account he explains was to be handed over to him when he turned 18 but Strika, who is now 19 years, claims he is yet to be given access to his account at Barclays.
He revealed he has not set his eyes on the money he earned from acting in Beast of No nations because one Kofi Robert is refusing to let him have it.
In an interview with Joy News’ MzGee, Strika stated that the money he earned was put into a trustee at one Barclays Bank branch from America but unfortunately his name is not in their books.
”I was sent to the Barclays Bank to check if the money is there or not and was told, the money is not in my name. My name was not in their books, the account was not registered in my name” he said.
However, he has filed an official complaint against the accusers at the Greater Accra Regional Command Police Station.
One of the suspect was later invited by the police on Friday. After writing his statement, the police ordered that he present a detailed statement of the account he held in trust for Strika and also to transfer the account into the name of the actor.
