Man of the moment, Strongman, had the crowd singing along to his ‘Don’t Try’ diss track to Medikal, when he performed at the jus- ended Music Magic Comedy (MMC) Live Concert, which came off at the Accra International Conference Center last Saturday, 29th June, 2019.
The artiste excited the audience with his electrifying performance as he did some of his hit songs like ‘Transformer’, ‘Baby’, among others; before climaxing the show with his diss track, which got the crowd singing along and cheering.
The 2019 edition of the annual Music, Magic & Comedy Live Concert featured musicians, comedians and many more. It saw performances from Sarkodie, Wendy Shay and a bit of comedy from Comedian OB, Foster Romanus and Acappella from Nigeria.
This year’s edition also hosted internationally-acclaimed magician, Christopher Voncujovi, who thrilled fans with his magical skills.
The rap battle that got a lot of people (who hitherto may not have heard their songs) engrossed in the rappers’ songs, had been described as one that would project the former SarkCess Music signee, Strongman, more to higher heights.
Strongman took Medikal on in ‘Don’t Try’ after the latter had released ‘To Whom it May Concern’, a track purported to be directed at Strongman for saying he (Medikal) didn’t deserve his Best Rapper award at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
On Friday, June 21, 2019, Medikal released ‘To Whom it May Concern’, which sought to jab some people who had been envious of his feats, for which Strongman released ‘Don’t Try’ in response.
The show was organised by Global Media Alliance and has, since its inception, witnessed hilarious performances from talented artists like Samini, King Promise, Kofi Kinaata, Episode, Jacinta and DKB, with magical concerts from Larry Soffer, a magician and mentalist from South Africa.
