‘Suicide’ Man In Hospital

A man, who jumped from a 50-foot footbridge in an attempt to end his life at Adum, a suburb of Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital, but survived, has been taken to the hospital.

According to eyewitnesses, though the unknown man survived, he sustained serious head and bodily injuries from the fall.

First responders to the scene, who rushed him to the hospital, said he was in a very critical condition.

Sources told the paper that the man was first heard threatening to take his life on Tuesday afternoon, then was later seen attempting to use fake money to buy a poison, but he was turned away.

Few minutes later, passersby saw him fall from the tall footbridge to the ground.

It was initially feared that the man had passed, but eye witnesses said there was still life in him when people approached him.
