The Chief Executive Officer of Origin 8, one of Ghana’s leading Marketing Communications Company, Mr. William Ansah has lamented the inability of government (both current and previous) to help elevate the standards of the industry.
According to him, government should prioritize on deepening local content by awarding some of its big projects to the indigenous marketing communication entities. He identifies this as pivotal in upping the standards of the industry.
William Ansah was speaking in an exclusive interview with Empire FM in the aftermath of a media launch of the company’s 20th anniversary.
He highlighted the aforementioned as one of the key challenges Marketing Communications Companies in the country are facing.
The Origin8 CEO also pinpointed the situation where small and budding entities in the industry lower the standards just to get some deals.
He decried the rate at which smaller agencies shirk the practicing of professional standards especially in relation to consumer purchase decision and its determinants and don’t do what is best for the consumer. He advised culprits in this stead to adopt the Origin 8 model processes and always prioritize satisfying the consumer.
