Sustain Multi-Party Democracy – Bernard Mornah
The Chairman of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Bernard Mornah is hopeful that the elected New Patriotic Party (NPP) officials will maintain the practice of multi-party democracy.
According to him, multi-party democracy contributes to yielding great dividends for the nation.
“It earned this nation great dividends. It contributed to building our democratic space and enhanced the beauty of multi-party democracy,” Mr. Mornah said at the NPP’s Delegate Conference on July 7.
The PNC Chairman further stated that multi-party democracy must be adopted as it was in the Kufuor era.
“Not long ago particularly under President Kufuor, the PNC had cordial working relationship with you. Some members of our party served as ministers and there was almost collaboration at parliamentary level,” the PNC Chairman stated.
On another development, he urged government to work on the cedi depreciation and the problems being faced in the health sector.
Mr. Bernard Mornah went on to wish the NPP a stronger united front after the elections on account of those campaigning with slogans as ‘y3 nim wu firi titii’ and we have delivered.
