The Ghana Football Association has named Tamimu Issah as Acting Spokesperson of the Association.
Mr. Issah is a long-standing staff of the GFA Communications Department, and he is currently the Acting Head of the Department.
Tamimu has previously served as the Public Relations Officer for the Premier League Board.
He replaced Ibrahim Sannie Daara, who served as Communications Director for the association until the Anas Exposé in June 2018.
As part of his job, Tamimu is expected to lead his team for the restructuring of the Communications Department, respond to official enquiries as well as address issues relating to media and communications.
He is also expected to lead and intensify the GFA’s new media approach in reaching out to its stakeholders through social media, as well as coordinate the operations of media officers for the various GFA domestic competitions.
Tamimu is said to have contributed immensely to the evolution of GFA Communications from separate units from 2006, to a full department in 2012, with Ibrahim Sannie Daara as head until 2018.
