Tanker crashes rider’s head

A MOTOR rider died instantly after a moving fuel tanker, accidentally, ran over his head on Thursday.

The bloody incident happened on the main Sofoline to Abuakwa highway, which is certainly a busy road network.

According to reports, the motor rider veered into the path of the moving fuel tanker, resulting in the gory accident.

The fuel tanker, which is heavy, trapped the motor and the rider under it (tanker) in the full glare of the public.

People at the scene shouted to alert the tanker driver, who certainly hasn’t seen what was happening, to stop.

Before the driver could apply the brakes, the fuel tanker had ran over the head of the rider, ending his life instantly.

The head of the motor rider, who is believed to be around 30 years old, was damaged completely by the heavy truck.

The tanker driver initially attempted to stop the tanker and attend to the dead rider but he changed his mind later on.

A group of young people in the area threatened to beat the tanker driver, forcing him to speed away to save his life.

The body of the late rider, whose identity is unknown, has been deposited in a mortuary for autopsy and preservation.

The case has been reported to the police, who have since commenced investigations to nab the runaway driver.
