Techiman Krobo Residents Protest Transfer of Tepa Nursing Principal
Residents of Techiman Krobo in the Brong Ahafo region are opposing the transfer of the embattled former principal of the Tepa nursing and midwifery training college Victoria Amoah to the Techiman Krobo nursing training college.
Victoria Amoah was suspended and subsequently removed from her position as principal after Starr News’ investigations uncovered massive rot in the sale of admission forms among other ill practices.
Starr News now understands the principal is now being transferred to Techiman Krobo Nursing College, a move which is being heavily opposed by residents of the area.
According to Ultimate FM’s Isaac Bediako Justice, the residents argue that there has not been any concrete outcome following Ms. Amoah’s alleged corrupt activities at Tepa and are anticipating a similar incident should she be accepted at the Techiman Krobo nursing training college.
Background
Checks revealed that at least about 50 percent of past and current students on campus did not pass through any interview panel as prescribed by the ministry of health because admission into the school is being sold at a whopping 3000 Ghana Cedis.
The principal has also been accused by students of billing them with matriculation and medical exams fees before enrolment to the college without execution.
One of the students who spoke to Ultimate FM’s Isaac Justice Bediako on condition of anonymity said the college authorities extort huge amount of monies through various means.
