Ten Black Stars Players Impress Me- Akwasi Appiah

TEN OUT of 16 new players invited into the Black Stars recently to justify their inclusion have impressed Coach Akwasi Appiah so far.

The Stars Head Coach, who for obvious reasons did not name the particular players that have impressed him so far, made the revelation in an interview recently.

“I have invited at least 16 players from all over the world to fight for positions in the Black Stars ever since I took over as Ghana coach once again. And I can boldly state that at least 10 of the players that I invited to fight for a place in the senior national team have impressed me, so far”.

According to him, his policy of inviting new players to battle with the old guards for positions has so far become a huge success.

He said he now has backups for almost every position in the team to boost the preparedness and performance of the team.

“Every good team has a good bench and luckily for us, the Black Stars now has a good bench, who can hold the fort whenever the need arises”.

The Stars head coach announced that by the middle of 2018 he would have gotten his final team, saying “the trial of new players will end soon”.
