Four people are battling for their lives at the 37 Military Hospital, following an explosion at the Amoh Gas Filling station at Santana, close to Tesano, Accra.
The explosion occurred in the early hours of Monday, 7 May 2018.
Accra FM’s Ama Brako reported that residents the explosion caused intensive vibrations which prevented residents from sleeping.
The residents are also leaving and fear have been advised not to light any naked flames for some days.
Some of the residents have also called on authorities to shut the Gas station down, as well as others located within the vicinity.
A resident, Victor, recounted how the accident occurred. “Around 12am, I heard a sound, two times, and then all of a sudden, the building shook but I thought it was a normal accident. When I came out I saw flames rising into the sky and I took to my heels”.
