Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey missed Arsenal’s English Premier League game against West Ham United due to injury.
The veteran midfielder’s absence is down to a muscle injury he picked up just before the game considering Arteta praised the availability of the midfielder on Friday, November 29 in the pre-game presser.
“He is showing consistency at the highest level, again because his availability and the way that he feels physically is allowing him to do that, and I am very pleased with that” Arteta said.
Partey is one of two midfielders for Arsenal as they missed the game with recently signed Spanish player Mikel Merino who has suffered a knee injury.
Prior to Saturday, November 30’s game at the London Stadium, Partey had featured in all 12 league games for The Gunners.
Partey has two goals to his credit with both long range strikes coming in wins over Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest.
The Black Stars midfielder has had a fine start to the 2024-2025 season; the campaign is the last of Partey’s original five year deal he signed with Arsenal after moving from Atletico Madrid.
