Thomas Partey Nominated For Top CAF Awards

Ghana International midfielder, Thomas Partey, has expressed his delight over making 30-man shortlist for the 2017 CAF Player of the Year Award.

CAF released a 30-man shortlist for the 2017 awards on their official website on Wednesday.

Also in the list is Partey’s Black Stars teammate and Newcastle star Christian Atsu.

Reacting to his nomination, Thomas Partey described it as an honour while expressing happiness that Atsu was also included in the list.

“I am honoured to be nominated for African Player of the Year. Representing Ghana together with Christian Atsu,” the Athletico Madrid Star told a close pal on Wednesday.

Partey and Atsu’s nomination came as a result of their contributions in this year’s AFCON as well as the Black Stars qualifiers for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
