Ghanaian international, Thomas Partey is set to make a comeback in a period of two week to provide a significant boost for Arsenal as they prepare to face current champions Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, October 8th, in a highly anticipated showdown.
Thomas Partey sustained a groin injury during a training session on Thursday, August 31, 2023, which led to his absence in Arsenal’s match against Manchester United on Sunday, September 3, as well as the international break in September.
As per updates available, Partey, along with Gabriel Martinelli, Declan Rice, and Leonard Trossard, all dealing with minor injuries, are expected to be fully fit within the next 13 days.
Thomas Partey has featured in three Premier League games out of five, primarily in a right-back role under manager Mikel Arteta.
Although there have been recent transfer speculations linking him away from the club, it appears that the former Atletico Madrid midfielder is poised to extend his stay at Arsenal.
The choice is motivated by Arsenal’s recent advancements and their successful qualification for the UEFA Champions League. This indicates their need for a deeper squad to compete in additional tournaments.
