Tiwaa don’t deserve IGP Position – NDC MP
Hon. Abdul-Aziz Mohammed, MP for Mion constituency in the Northern region of Ghana has described Director -General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service, COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah as ”a failure” and an ”Irresponsible Character” in the helm of the country’s security process.
According to him, one would have expected the CID Boss to be more proactive and top of affairs in the state of Ghana’s security.
He further indicated that, Madam Tiwaa does not deserve to hold the position of Ghana’s next Inspector General of Police (IGP).
His comments comes after Maame Yaa Tiwaa disclosed over the weekend her readiness for the topmost position in the security agency.
In an interview on Atinka TV’s Big Stories on Saturday COP Tiwaa Addo-Danquah stated that, “I am more than prepared to be the IGP of Ghana.”“For the fact that I have been a police from Constable, Recruit, to Sergeant, Inspectorate, ASP through to where I have gotten to as a COP, it means that I can go further,” she emphasized.
However the Honorable Minister speaking on GH TODAY on GhOne TV Tuesday morning said, he will be more than disappointed if President Nana Addo ever consider handling the IGP Position to Maame Tiwaa.
”Maame Tiwaa has not proven to be a competent police officer, right from her appointment as the CID Boss with the leaked tape between herself and A Plus. Her actions and words concerning the Kidnapped girls has been inappropriate. She can’t handle the highest role in the police service” he said.
According to him, Maame Tiwaa is a disgrace to the Akufo-Addo government and does not deserve to gain the Inspector General of Police appointment.
