Ghana will make their first appearance at the U-17 world cup in a decade with their first match against Colombia following the draw on Friday.
The draw was conducted in Mumbai with head coach Paa Kwesi Fabian and management Chief Kweku Ayiah in attendance.
The Black Starlets have been drawn in Group A alongside host nation India, Colombia and USA.
They will open their campaign against South Americans, before facing CONCACAF giants and rounding off against Asians.
Ghana qualified to the tournament as they finished second at the Africa U-17 cup of nations in Gabon. The team lost 1-0 in the finals to Mali.
Ghana first qualified to the FIFA U-17 world cup in 1989 and have since represented nine times, including this year.
They have won the competition twice – 1991 and 95 – finished as runners up on two occasions and claimed one bronze medal.
