For many celebrities planning to walk down the aisle, a highly private wedding ceremony is always crucial for them to avoid exposing their loved ones to unnecessary paparazzi cameras.
For some, not disclosing the venue for their ceremony works perfect but for one Ugandan singer, Heli Loyce Agaba known as Heli Esli, limiting the number of attendees to the bare minimum was the best option.
Melody revealed that for their wedding to be top-notch private, only 11 people were invited to the wedding.
The Kasese songstress secretly tied the knot with her partner Sunshine Melody, the CEO of Kanta Group of Companies on November 14, 2019, at St Paul’s Church in Uganda.
Speaking to Uganda’s My Wedding magazine, Melody revealed that for their wedding to be top-notch private, only 11 people were invited to the ceremony. “We also wanted to celebrate with key people that have really been there for us in hard times,” said the newly weds.

The couple invited their parents and a few close friends for what they termed a private thanksgiving ceremony at church only for them to find out it was their wedding.
“My best man found out about the wedding when he arrived at church. He did not even dress up as other best men do,” Melody revealed. The couple later hosted their guests for a small dinner in their home.
To cut on costs, the songstress made her gown by herself through her fashion outlet Heli Fashions while the ceremonial suit for her husband was an offer by Falcon Suits.
Melody estimates that exclusive of dressing, they spent only about USh 300,000, (KSh 8,300) most of which went to the kitchen and silverware for the dinner.

They did the photography and video production at no cost as the videographer too was the official video director to the singer’s music projects. According to the two, they did not want to spend a lot of money because they had already made a huge party for their introduction ceremony in July 2019.
“Everybody expected something huge from us for the wedding but we decided not to go by other people’s demands and rather do something simple that would benefit us,” they said. “We had actually made a budget of USh 49 million (KSh 1.4 million) for the wedding but decided to channel this money into our next business venture,” they added.
