Some 621 new coronavirus related deaths have been reported across the United Kingdom (UK). The UK Department of Health and Social Care made this known in a tweet around 4:19pm on May 2, 2020.
It says “As of 9am 2 May, there have been 1,129,907 tests, with 105,937 tests on 1 May.”
“825,946 people have been tested of which 182,260 tested positive,” the Department tweeted.
“As of 5pm on 1 May, of those tested positive for coronavirus, across all settings, 28,131 have sadly died.”
Ghana Cases So Far
The total confirmed coronavirus cases in Ghana have now reached 2,169 along with 229 recoveries with 18 recorded deaths, as at Saturday, May 2, Ghana Health Service (GHS) has announced.
The latest development still puts the Greater Accra Region with the highest number of confirmed cases, of 1,852, followed by Ashanti Region with 117 cases.
The confirmed cases in the Eastern Region have now gone up to 87 cases, Central Region still with 21 cases, Oti and Upper East Regions with no new cases apart from the 19 cases each recorded earlier, and same with the Volta Region in 16.
Also, the Northern Region has now new cases apart from the 13 already confirmed cases, while the Upper West Region has 10 cases, Western Region with 9, also with no new cases recorded.
However, the Western North Region has now recorded 4 confirmed cases in total, and North East Region still with 2 confirmed cases.
This leaves only four regions in the country, including Savannah, Bono, Ahafo and Bono East Region with no cases recorded so far.
