Over 1,000 supporters of Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak football clubs will be issued with visas to travel to London to watch the two giants clash on March 7, 2020.
This pleasant news was announced by Mr. Samson Deen, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of African Origin Travels and Sports Tourism, the official Ticket and Hospitality agent for the match.
The historic game is taking place at the famous Barnet Stadium in London and it is among a tall list of creative initiatives to help take Ghana football, especially Kotoko and Hearts, to the international map.
Already, news reaching THE NEW PUBLISHER indicated that Ghanaians in the United Kingdom (UK) and other parts of Europe, are eager to get a ticket and watch the crunch tie.
Samson Deen, in a phone interview with the paper from London, where he has travelled to in preparation ahead of the game, said everything is set for Kotoko and Hearts to take their rivalry to London.
According to him, the organisers of the match, Proball International Limited, led by Justin Addo, have made arrangements to make Kotoko and Hearts to be rewarded handsomely.
Samson Deen said Kotoko and Hearts of Oak would each travel to London with a 40-man contingent, adding that the two powerhouses would also take home cash for taking part in the match.
The African Origin CEO also disclosed that there would be a glittering trophy at stake for the winner, adding that the March 7 game forms part of Ghana’s 63rd Independence Anniversary celebrations.
