Manchester United are monitoring former forward Cristiano Ronaldo’s situation at Juventus, as “agents connected” with the striker, 36, say he “could genuinely leave” the Turin club.
According to The Express Football News, Cristiano Ronaldo held discussions with Manchester United over a two-year deal that will bring him back to Old Trafford this summer.
The Portuguese superstar is one of the best players in the history of the game. Despite turning 36, Ronaldo continues to impress and has scored 25 goals in 29 Serie A appearances for Juventus this season.
Ronaldo, who has won the Champions League with United and Real Madrid, has so far drawn a blank with Juventus. Given his age, he is running out of time to add a sixth European crown.
United are currently keen to offer him a new deal. However, they require him to take a pay cut in order for the deal to go through. He currently earns a whopping £27million a year at Juventus.
