Communications Minister, Mrs. Ursula Owusu Ekuful, has been crowned the ‘CRANS MONTANA FORUM’ S GOLD MEDAL, at its 30th anniversary forum held in Geneva, Switzerland.
The Ablekuma West MP, joins former President, Jerry John Rawlings and Former UN Secretary General, Kofi Annan as the only Ghanaians to have received the coveted award.
Starting from its 20th Anniversary, the Crans Montana Forum has been entitled, by decision of the Fondation du Forum Universale’s Governing Board to present, as the highest honour, the “Crans Montana Forum’s Gold Medal“.
The Medal is awarded by the Crans Montana Forum on exceptional occasions and by special decision in recognition of successful achievements in favor of a more humane World.
The medal was presented to Mrs Owusu Ekuful by CRANS MONTANA FORUM alongside Edmond Bocchit, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship, Haiti, John Deane Kuku, Minister of Education and Human Resources Development, Solomon Islands, Mohamed Larbi Belcaïd, Mayor of Marrakech, Morocco and Haïdara Aïssata Cissé, Vice President, Pan-African Parliament.
The CRANS MONTANA FORUM is a Non-Governmental International Organization established since 1986, whose mission is to build a better World “Towards a more Humane World”.
Its primary aim is to strengthen international cooperation by promoting good practices and allowing a permanent dialogue between those in the public and private sectors who are the real decision-makers on whom the future of our World depends.
The CRANS MONTANA FORUM closely works with all Governments, specialised Bodies, International & Regional Organizations such as the UN, UNESCO, UNIDO, FAO, the EUROPEAN UNION, the EUROPEANA COMMISSION, the COUNCIL OF EUROPE, OFID… and naturally numerous NGOs.
